Insulating Sales Co., Inc. was founded in 1934 and has been an industry leader in the Cincinnati and Tristate area for 90 years.  The family-owned and operated company was started by innovator John Hetz who brought the new technology and energy conservation of rockwool insulation to our builders and homeowners.  As the insulation industry evolved, leadership passed to John’s son-in-law, Tom Meckstroth, who guided the company through the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, transitioning into fiberglass insulation as it became the industry standard. In the 1990s, Steve Adam became the owner of Insulating Sales and led the company through the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, moving the business confidently into the 21st century. Under Steve’s ownership, the company expanded its offerings to include fiberglass, cellulose, and state-of-the-art polyurethane spray-in foam insulation, responding to growing demands for comfort, performance, and energy efficiency.  In the 2020s, ownership transitioned to Steve’s son, Josh Adam, who now runs the company. Continuing a proud family tradition, Josh remains committed to the same values Insulating Sales was built on—exceptional service, quality workmanship, and staying at the forefront of insulation technology as the industry continues to focus on improved energy efficiency and long-term performance.
